Hitting For Hunger
Hitting Clinic 2017

Hitting for Hunger Baseball Clinic

Long Island Sports Zone is once again partnering with Long Island Cares to host Hitting for Hunger!

What is Hitting for Hunger?

Hitting for Hunger is a hitting clinic & food drive to collect and give food to the people of Long Island that need it right before the holiday season. This is our 3rd year hosting the clinic and we’re very proud that each year, we’ve been collecting more and more food to donate.

To better understand the hunger issue on Long Island, please take a look at the Hunger Facts put together by Long Island Cares.

Description of Clinic:

Each clinic will be one hour-long and include a talk by our coaches about hitting and the participants going through our hitting stations . The clinic will focus on batting so we ask that each participant please brings their own bat and helmet. Sneakers only, no cleats allowed on turf.

Goal: 1,500 lbs of Food

Last year we collected 1,320 lbs of food! This year we would like to collect over 1,500 lbs! Please help us reach our goal!

This year we’ll also have food collection boxes at the facility starting in October so if you can’t make it you can still help by dropping off food at the facility!
