About us

Our Story

In 2009, Randy Caden opened the Long Island Mariners Sports Academy, centered around his travel baseball organization, Long Island Mariners. After a couple of years, he decided to rename the facility, Randy Caden’s Baseball Factory. Then, in 2014, Randy decided to re-brand again, this time as Long Island Sports Zone. Even with all the new names, Randy has been offering some of the best baseball and softball training on Long Island since 2009.

A true family business, owned by Randy and his son, Tim, Long Island Sports Zone creates a family atmosphere while offering professional training in specifically baseball and softball. Our sole focus is offering high quality training and a clean and comfortable facility for our clients. More importantly, we understand the enjoyment that sports can bring and incorporate that into our programs.

Our programs cover different ages and skill levels because we feel that every kid should be able to learn the game they love to play. Currently, our main program is private training but we also offer clinics, classes, team training, and camps for baseball and softball. Alongside those programs, we offer our facility for rent for winter workouts, practices, and events.

In addition, we understand the importance of giving back and being a positive influence in the community. Over the years, we have donated to several fundraisers and sponsored multiple little leagues while also annually hosting Hitting for Hunger for Long Island Cares.

Mission Statement
